Recommended reading: Re-learning about class meetings from the global UMC

This recent article about Wesleyan small groups by Joe Iovino of UM Communications had two interesting bits about the role the UMC outside of the US is playing in helping revive interest in Wesleyan small groups in the US. The article mentions the Wesleyan small groups that are coming to be employed as part of In Mission Together partnerships. It also notes that the use of small groups in church-planting, a practice that is beginning to be used again in the US is still common practice in other areas of the world, where that long-standing Methodist tradition never fell into disuse.
